CSC service is central government scheme launched by Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology on 16 July 2009.

If you want to do CSC registration now, then you can choose the option of CSC VLE, ​​after this you have to enter the TEC number and do the registration. Along with this, two more new options have been added to register Digital Seva Center through CSC i.e. SHG (Self Help Group), FPO and FPS, E SHRAM, RDD, NULM SHG and BANKING.

CSC Eligibility Criteria for VLE:

1.Must have valid VID (Aadhaar Virtual ID) and PAN number.

2.VLE should be a village youth above 18 years of age.

3.VLE must have passed 10th level examination from a recognized board as minimum educational qualification.

4.The VLE should be fluent in reading and writing the local dialect and should also have a basic level of knowledge of the English language.

5.Prior knowledge in basic computer skills would be a preferred advantage.

6.VLEs should be motivated enough to become key drivers of social change and perform their duties with utmost dedication and sincerity.

7.To register on CSC portal, one must have Aadhar card.

What is Common Services Centers (CSC)?

Public Service Center (CSC) provides various types of e-governance and business services to the citizens in rural and remote areas of our country (India). It is a Pan India (All India) program for the regional, geographical, linguistic and cultural diversity of the country, similarly by making various services available to the citizens in the easiest way using technology, this program takes our country towards digitalization.

As an integral part of the Digital India Programme, the CSC program provides e-services support to citizens with a focus on public utility services, social welfare schemes, financial services, education and skill development courses, health and agriculture. CSC has been designed as a platform through which various types of services can be easily delivered to every corner of the country.

How CSC works?

CSC is an e-Governance service, which is a special purpose functionality that connects the local population with the government department, private and government banks, insurance companies and some other service providers using the citizen's IT-enabled network with the private sector.

That is, in simple words, CSC is a platform from where VLE (Village Level Entrepreneur) conducts its activities and serves the users. Many types of government and non-government schemes can be easily delivered to the citizens of the country through CSC.

CSC Application Type:

If a person wants to register on the digital service portal to get the ID password of the csc portal and open a new csc center, then he should know which type of registration he should choose to do the csc registration. Three types exist which are as follows:

1. VLE Registration

Anyone who wants to become a new VLE and get a CSC certificate is informed that CSC VLE registrations have been closed due to the completion of the target of number of VLEs allowed in each gram panchayat / village. If in future, We will inform you all when registrations are reopened.

2. SHG (Self Help Group) csc Registration:

After the registration is closed, if any person still wants to become a CSC VLE, ​​then that person can apply for CSC through Self Help Group, that is, it is mandatory for him to be a member of any Self Help Group, then he can easily become a new CSC. 3. CSC RDD Registration:

No person can get this RDD (Rural Development Department) code for CSC registration because the RDD code is only with a Rural Development Department center and now only that organization will be able to open a new CSC center and any person. If you are not able to apply for CSC with the help of RDD code, then this process is given only for government institutions. RDD registration is not for any common person.

CSC Registration Online 

become a part of CSC VLE society, you have to register for CSC Digital Seva Portal. To register yourself on the CSC portal, you can become a part of CSC VLE society by following the below steps through online registration mode:

  • To apply CSC, go to URL http://register.csc.gov.in
  • Click on the “Click here to apply” button that appears on the homepage.
  • You enter the Aadhaar number, choose the authentication type and click on “Submit Button” after filling in the captcha code.
  • After submission, the authentication option will appear which can be done through an IRIS scan, fingerprint scan or one-time password.
  • Now you have to fill all the personal details.
  • After that, one has to upload the geotagged images of the centers. Finally, you have to click on the “Submit” option.
  • And similarly, by filling all the information sought, you can easily register for CSC.
What is CSC Portal?

Under the National e-Governance Plan (NeGP) prepared by the Department of Electronics and Information Technology (DEITY), Ministry of Communications and Information Technology, Government of India, CSC Digital Seva Portal (CSC) has been launched to provide ICT enabled, G2C (Government to Citizen) and B2C ( Business to Citizen) as well as to provide Financial Inclusion services.

It is a part of the Government's Digital India Initiative in which some other services are as follows: Agriculture, health, education, entertainment, banking services (Digi Pay), utility payments, etc. and more services are also added in CSC from time to time.

How to check CSC Seva Portal application status:

After completing CSC registration, all submitted applications are sent for quality check. After registration, every person is given an application number. Any person can track his application status with the help of the application number.

To know the status of your CSC registration, follow the steps given below:-
1.First go to https://register.csc.gov.in/ link
2.Now you will reach the csc portal registration page where you will see a “Track Application Status” box, click on the link given in the box.
3.Enter the application reference number that was shared with your email address after registration
4.Now enter the captcha and click on the submit button.
5.After submission the application status will appear in front of you.

CSC Re-registration:

CSC re-registration is mandatory for all VLEs. Every year VLE has to re-register by visiting the official CSC Digital Seva portal. Re-registration dates are communicated to VLEs through the Digital Services Portal.

Without re-registration, VLEs will not be able to use transaction services. Therefore all Village Level Entrepreneurs are advised to re-register within the stipulated time period.

Whenever a notice is issued for re-registration, a link will also be provided to all VLEs through which all VLEs can complete the CSC re-registration process.

How Login Digital Seva Portal:

How to do CSC login? To know this, read all the steps given below carefully so that you do not face any problem in logging in:

1.To login, first go to CSC Digital Seva Portal. By clicking on the link given below, you can reach the direct login page.

2.Now you will see the LOGIN button at the top corner of the website, click on it.

3.Now you will reach the login page of Digital Seva Connect.

4.On the login page you will see two boxes in which you have to first fill your username or email and enter the password and click on the Sign In button.

5.CSC login credentials CSC ID and Password you must have received through Digimail which you can use to login here.

6.After successful signing in, the dashboard of Digital Seva Portal will open in front of you.

Now you can easily avail all the services available in CSC Digital Seva Portal. Here in the Portal Dashboard, services like G2C, B2C, Banking, Agriculture, Education, Financial etc. have been made available for you.

How to view CSC Login Credentials:

All those who are already registered as VLE are entitled to receive DigiMail and Digital Seva Initials. They can update their VLE profile using CSC Portal. All VLEs can view their credentials and change them as per their choice by following the steps given below:-

1.First go to register.csc.gov.in URL.

2.Now you will see a box of View Credentials in which you have to click on the given link.

3.Enter your 12 digit CSC ID on the new page.

4.Fill the captcha shown below in the website.

5.check consent.

6.Submit to proceed.

Upon submission, your credentials will be visible to you where you can make changes.

What is CSC media platform?

CSC has launched its first media platform thecscnews.in, where stories related to PMGDISHA, WI-FI Chaupal, PMJAY, PMSYM, Kaushal, DIGIPAY etc. are presented. The trending feature on the portal will now focus on recent trends in spreading empowerment as well as inclusion in the CSC ecosystem.

The Spotlight will exclusively feature cases and present stories of the work contributions of Village Level Entrepreneurs (VLEs) across the country. Other features like states, healthcare and economic census will also be included.

At the bottom of www.thecscnews.in portal VLEs can share their experiences/stories which will help the CSC team to understand the VLEs and also help us reach out to them when needed. It will be a very smooth process to get information about the work the VLEs are dedicated to and their dynamics. What is CSC 2.0 Scheme?

Based on the evaluation of the digital seva scheme, the government launched the CSC 2.0 scheme in 2015 to expand the outreach of CSCs to all gram panchayats across the country. Under the CSC 2.0 scheme, at least one CSC will be established in each of the 2.5 lakh JPs across the country by 2019. Under the existing scheme the functioning of CSCs will also be strengthened and integrated with an additional 1.5 lakh CSCs across the country.

The CSC 2.0 scheme will consolidate service delivery through a universal technology platform, making e-services, especially G2C services, accessible to citizens anywhere in the country.
